Our ethos is to maximise the return on your file. Costs are the tail wagging the dog. Cash flow, W.I.P and management, accuracy and recoverability are major issues for the individual Fee Earners and the Firm. While rates, regulations and case laws dictate that which is recoverable within the work generated in a file. We are able to explain misunderstandings and assist Fee Earners in maximising costs on a file.

Our team individually have a minimum of ten years experience in the preparation of bills and attendance on detailed assessments. We attend detailed assessments all around the country and advise firms in costs law affecting their files, rule changes and file management.

Solicitor/client and inter partes costs entitlement are two very different animals that need to be addressed with caution. Fully conversant with all areas of the industry, Shieldacre are able to draft and present a bill which we are confident is a proper reflection of the work undertaken, recorded and recoverable against a paying party.
